Goals & Objectives

Our project is designed with a clear ambition: to empower youth workers with digital and AI tools that can transform the way mental health support is delivered to young people. Rooted in the DigComp Conceptual Reference Model and the ETS Competence Model for Youth Workers, the training program is carefully structured to address values, attitudes, skills, and knowledge that are essential for building a stronger and more resilient youth sector across Europe.

The objectives are both ambitious and practical. We want youth workers to not only become familiar with digital mental health platforms, apps, and AI-driven tools, but to also learn how to critically assess their impact. Social media, for example, can inspire but also contribute to anxiety and depression. By recognizing these influences, professionals will be better prepared to guide young people in a balanced and informed way.

Another important goal is to make technology an ally in everyday youth work. Trainers and facilitators will learn how to use apps and AI-based assistants to promote mindfulness, emotional well-being, and better mental health management. At the same time, ethical questions cannot be ignored. The training will provide knowledge and guidance on privacy, consent, and the responsible handling of sensitive mental health data.

By the end of the program, youth workers will have the skills to choose the right tools for the right young person, and to integrate them into collaborative strategies that bring together schools, mental health professionals, and families. This approach ensures that digital solutions are not used in isolation, but as part of a wider, community-based support system.

In short, the objectives of the project are:

  • To equip youth workers with digital and AI competencies tailored for mental health support.

  • To increase awareness of mental health among young people.

  • To improve accessibility and visibility of mental health resources through digital channels.

  • To foster innovation in youth work by integrating digital tools into daily practice.

Through these objectives, the project creates a strong foundation for long-term impact. Youth workers will return to their communities not only as better professionals but as multipliers of knowledge, spreading digital awareness and mental health literacy far beyond the training rooms.
