Trainers’ Report After the Research Phase

The HEARTS trainers have completed the research phase!
Over the past weeks, they analyzed youth workers’ and young people’s needs, tested numerous digital and AI tools, and identified those most effective for mental health promotion.

The report presents key findings about how digital tools can enhance emotional awareness, communication, and resilience among young people. It also outlines practical guidelines for youth workers on how to integrate these apps safely and ethically into their everyday practice.

The full report is now available in PDF format on our website — an important milestone that bridges the research stage and the upcoming training in Croatia.

Our final reflection:

Across countries and contexts, one insight stood out: technology can support mental health only when it nurtures connection, reflection, and trust. The HEARTS project demonstrates that digital empathy is not just possible — it’s teachable.
