Partners Gathered in Požarevac

In early July 2025, the two-day transnational partners’ meeting of the HEARTS project was held at Novotarijum in Požarevac. Representatives from Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, and Belgium came together to share research results, define next steps, and shape the upcoming activities.

The first day focused on presenting the findings of surveys conducted by partner organizations. The research showed that young people across the region recognize the importance of mental health but often face stress and feelings of being overwhelmed. Interestingly, while most had never heard of AI tools in this field, nearly 60% expressed interest in learning about and using them.

Partners analyzed similarities and differences among the countries and concluded that more education, exchange of experiences, and practical workshops are needed to bring young people closer to topics such as self-care, digital wellbeing, and intergenerational solidarity.

The second day shifted focus to project dissemination – how to make the results visible, accessible, and useful to a wider audience. The plan includes a mix of digital channels (website, social media), local events, and an international webinar.

It was agreed that each partner would regularly publish content on social media, and that joint materials – such as an e-book and educational resources – would be made available in several languages.

The meeting concluded with agreements on the next steps: finalizing the research report, testing digital tools for mental health, and organizing workshops for young people and youth workers in the autumn.

Beyond the working sessions, partners had the chance to explore the cultural heritage and natural beauty of the Braničevo region. A joint visit to Ram Fortress and Silver Lake provided not only a pleasant break after intensive discussions but also an opportunity to strengthen partnerships and spark inspiration for future collaboration.
