On 6 March 2026, Erasmus Mundus Association organized the online event “Final Local Event: Digital & AI Tools for Youth Mental Health” as part of the dissemination activities of the HEARTS Project. The event was held via the Webex platform and gathered 14 participants, including EMA members, students, and alumni interested in youth mental health, education, and digital innovation.
The session introduced participants to the HEARTS project and its main objectives focused on supporting young people’s mental well-being through digital and AI-based tools. Participants were guided through the project activities, including the training programme for youth workers, workshops implemented with young people, and the development of educational materials and practical resources created during the project.
Special attention was given to the HEARTS Toolkit and its practical applications in youth work, education, and capacity-building activities. Participants highlighted the value of having an accessible and user-friendly resource that can be used both independently and within trainings, workshops, and peer-support activities.
The discussion also emphasized the importance of addressing wider societal challenges affecting young people’s mental health, including economic insecurity, social inequalities, and climate-related pressures, especially among vulnerable and less privileged communities. Participants agreed that integrating these perspectives strengthens the relevance and long-term impact of the toolkit and project outcomes.
The event additionally served as an opportunity to discuss the sustainability and future dissemination of the project results. EMA announced plans to continue sharing the materials internally through its network and externally through social media, professional platforms, and future educational initiatives. The toolkit is also being translated into French to further increase accessibility and outreach.
