YBB Presented the Results of the HEARTS Project in Hungary

On 25 February 2026, Youth Bridges Budapest organized a local dissemination event in Budapest, Hungary, as part of the HEARTS Project. The event gathered 10 participants, including youth workers, educators, young people, and professionals interested in the intersection of mental health, youth work, and digital innovation.

The event aimed to present the main achievements, activities, and outcomes of the HEARTS project, with a particular focus on the role of digital and AI-based tools in supporting young people’s mental well-being. Participants were introduced to the project partnership, the research conducted among young people, the international training activities, and the workshops implemented with youth in different partner countries.

During the presentation, special attention was given to the findings of the Hungarian youth survey, which highlighted important challenges related to stress, mental overload, stigma surrounding mental health, and limited familiarity with AI-supported mental health tools among young people. The discussion opened valuable space for reflection on how youth work can better respond to these challenges through innovative and accessible approaches.

Participants also explored the HEARTS Toolkit and workshop methodologies developed within the project. Examples of practical activities, digital applications, self-reflection exercises, and the RULER emotional literacy model were presented as tools that can support emotional awareness, resilience, and safer digital engagement among young people.

The dissemination event created an opportunity for professional exchange and dialogue about the future of digital youth work and mental health support. Participants discussed the importance of combining technology with empathy, inclusion, and ethical approaches when working with young people in digital environments.

The event concluded with reflections on the sustainability of the project and future plans for further development of HEARTS-related activities, including new workshops, expanded school involvement, and the continued promotion of innovative methods in youth work.
